Commission Agreement

We are so thrilled to be creating beautiful portrait art that your family will treasure for a lifetime.

By purchasing your Session through Big Cartel, you agree to our Commission Agreement below:

CONSULTATIONS

• We require a consultation (either via phone or at our studio, or both) for every session. Consultations are an integral part of the artistic process to create the amazing imagery you see from our studio.

COMMISSION FEE

• Comission Fees include the time and talent of Andrea Halsey to reserve and plan your Portrait Session as well as your initial Selection Appointment. No digital files or products are included with a Commission Fee.

• Comission Fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

• Due to the nature of planning for Portrait Sessions, canceled or rescheduled sessions must be notified by one week before your session date, or a new Commission Fee will be required to book again.

• Portrait Sessions may be rescheduled due to inclement weather at the judgement of Andrea Halsey.

DURING YOUR PORTRAIT SESSION

• Personal cameras are not allowed to be used during your Portrait Session or Selection Appointment, including smartphone cameras. A violation will result in a cancelation of your appointment with no refunds.

• The studio must be notified of all people attending the Portrait Session.

• Clients are responsible for covering any additional costs related to the location of the session.

YOUR SELECTION APPOINTMENT

• Selection Appointments must be scheduled between 1-2 weeks from your Portrait Session to make your print selection purchases.

• Any Selection Appointments after the 2 week period, and additional Selection Appointments, are $150. 

• In-home appointments are available for an additional $75.

DIGITAL PRINT LICENSES

• By law, all photographs taken by our studio remain copyright to Andrea Halsey Photography, regardless of a Digital or Print License purchase.

• A Print License purchase is required in order to legally print your own prints from our copyrighted images. 

• All images that are purchased from our studio are digitally stored in a backup archive. Images that are not purchased at your Selection Appointment are purged from our system.

PRODUCTS & SERVICES

• Finished art can take 1-2 months or more to finalize, as all art is hand crafted by a team of artists. Rush options are available.

• Due to the custom nature of our products and services: All sales are final. Orders cannot be canceled or changed once placed. Payments are non-refundable.
